Eudaimonia

[You-day-moan-ee-ah]

A concept debated among ancient Greek philosophers about how to achieve happiness, going beyond hedonistic pursuits to develop the best of oneself; human flourishing.

Greek God Cut Out

I wanted a practice that housed a set of therapies which overcomes what holds people back from feeling their best by alleviating physical discomfort and unease, improving mental wellbeing through intentional care & space, and helping them take ownership of their health.

Me Again

I treat how I would want to be treated

My first experience of receiving massage was not an uncommon one. Primed to receive a treatment which targeted my various aches and problem areas I was surprised when every time they were reached, they were glossed over. I left feeling frustrated and confused.

It’s an experience which has shaped my offering; I didn’t want clients to feel the same way I had about not having issues addressed nor be unclear about what to expect.

About Me

  • I came to start up Eudaimonia in my early 30s following a career change into massage therapy. I gain purpose from engaging with people and having a positive impact on their health and wellbeing.

Developing the business has been one of my greatest achievements; I am constantly learning and often challenged by it which fuels my interest and gives me a space for creativity. I often push myself to train in more techniques and therapies in a bid to give clients more options in finding what works for them. No one size fits all.

Outside of work I enjoy running, badminton, skiing and being in nature whether hiking in it or tending to it. Plants have become a recent passion as many clients can see through the increasing number of houseplants occupying my therapy room!
