How Eudaimonia is meeting the COVID-19 challenge

These practices have been put in place to reduce the risk of infection and cross-contamination throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to protect your health, mine and that of all clients; they now remain standard practice. They are updated to comply with the law and risk assessments are periodically reviewed.

Pre-Appointment

New clients will need to complete a health intake form electronically, to be received by Eudaimonia at least 24 hours ahead of your appointment.

If you experience symptoms of any communicable disease or condition (such as cold, flu or COVID etc) in the lead up to, or the day of the appointment, you will need to reschedule the appointment. This protects the practioner’s health, business, and health of other clients, some of whom are vulnerable.
At the Appointment

You will be required to bring your own towel(s). A reminder will be sent to help.

Payment will be taken via debit/credit card, bank transfer or mobile payments. My card machine provider accepts contactless payments up to £100.

For new clients, consent will be obtained by signing via an electronic device which is disinfected after each appointment.

Hand sanitiser, disposable tissues and a foot operated pedal bin will be available to you at the studio. The use of toilet facilities is permitted. Water is no longer provided and it is recommended you bring your own.
The Therapist

The therapist will:

Sanitise their hands at the start of each appointment, and at the end of each appointment.

Sanitise their hands during your appointment if they have needed to touch their face, hair, sneeze or cough.

The therapist has received both vaccination doses and the booster.
The Environment
The Equipment

Fabric coverings are no longer used on the massage table, only wipeable materials.

The equipment will be disinfected after each appointment to include: the massage table, bolster, support pillows, hand sanitiser bottle, massage wax pot, disinfectant bottle, tablet & stylus and card payment machine.

Any used therapist towels will be placed into a separate bag to be laundered.
Laundry

The therapists’ clothes and towels are subject to this process:

Once laundered, they are placed into a seperate container for storage.

They are stored for 72 hours prior to use. This period goes beyond the expected life cycle of a COVID-19 particle had it found its way onto these items.
